Wendy Taylor, AGPC-CNP, graduated from Northwestern State University College of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science in nursing. She received a Master of Science degree in nursing from the University of South Alabama in Mobile. Taylor is licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse and a Registered Nurse as an adult/gerontology primary care certified nurse practitioner (American Academy of Nurse Practitioners).
Taylor treats patients as a certified nurse practitioner at WK Pierremont Neurology Clinic. Her many years of nursing experience include neurosurgery, Gamma Knife radiation, plastic surgery, movement disorders and coordinating resources for Parkinson’s disease patients and families. Taylor helps improve quality of life for patients with Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor and dystonia as the only nurse practitioner within 100 miles who has experience programming all available deep brain stimulator (DBS) systems.
Taylor focuses on patient satisfaction and builds trust in Willis-Knighton practitioners and clinics as she provides high-end patient care. Creating opportunities for open communication with patients and listening closely to their needs is Taylor’s philosophy of care.
